Crypts

Cryptocoryne for Sale — Hardy Low-Light Crypt Plants for Freshwater Aquariums

Quinn’s Fins carries a complete selection of Cryptocoryne for sale — nursery-grown crypt species ranging from compact foreground varieties to dramatic tall background plants, all grown in our on-site greenhouse. Cryptocoryne plants are among the most reliable and forgiving aquarium plants available — tolerating low light, thriving without CO2, and developing deep, anchored root systems that make them virtually impossible to uproot once established. Plant once, leave undisturbed, and allow them to establish into increasingly beautiful specimens over time.

Care Summary — Crypt Melt Notice

All Cryptocoryne species may experience leaf drop (crypt melt) when first introduced to a new aquarium — this is normal and does not indicate plant failure. The root system remains active and new leaves emerge within 3–5 weeks. Do not remove the plant during this period. Plant once in a permanent location — Cryptocoryne species strongly dislike being moved after establishment. Low light, no CO2, heavy root feeders.
